Description
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection is soliciting a contractor to complete site improvements at the Ramona Air Attack Base. The scope includes site demolition, grading, landscaping, concrete flat work, stormwater drainage improvements—including V-ditch construction and a StormTrap connection—and erosion control. The project also includes construction of two new helipads, associated markings, perimeter lighting, lighted wind cone equipment, static ground receptacles, underground electrical raceways, and related electrical work. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, permits, transportation, taxes, and fees; hold an active California A-General Engineering Contractor license; and maintain Department of Industrial Relations public-works registration. The solicitation requires a mandatory pre-bid walk-through, prevailing-wage compliance, a 3% DVBE participation goal, and submission of the listed bid forms and certifications. A bidder’s bond is conditionally required for bids of $484,000 or more, and a payment bond is required from the successful bidder when the bid exceeds $25,000.
