Description
The Santa Clara Valley Water District is soliciting a lump-sum bid for the supply and delivery of four 16-inch triple-eccentric, metal-seated butterfly valves with handwheel operators; four 14-inch metal-seated ball valves with handwheel operators; four 12-inch metal bellows expansion joints; and four 14-inch metal bellows expansion joints. Products must meet specified pressure, flow, potable-water certification, materials, coating, dimensional, operator, and performance requirements. Equivalent products may be proposed through the specified "Or Equal" process. The successful vendor must provide product data, technical sheets, compliance affidavits, drawings, installation instructions, torque calculations, factory acceptance testing, inspection and test records, mill reports, dimensional checks, packaging, transportation, and delivery. The solicitation requires at least three comparable U.S. installation references for each specified product category, with installations completed within the past five years. All items are to be delivered together, with the target delivery date of October 1, 2027; the final delivery date will be mutually established after award. A three-year warranty and specified insurance coverage are required, including $2 million commercial general liability, $1 million automobile liability, and statutory workers' compensation with $1 million employer's liability. Questions and clarification requests must be submitted through the portal's Q&A feature, and proposers are bound to their scope and cost proposal for 180 days after submission. The bid is submitted electronically, and proposers may not communicate with Valley Water Board members, staff, or current Valley Water consultants regarding the solicitation.
