This presolicitation concerns a planned full-and-open, design-bid-build, firm-fixed-price construction contract for the two-phase renovation of Maintenance Hangar 1050 at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth. The work is intended to support Marine Corps flight crews, equipment, and maintenance operations for KC-130 and C-40 aircraft while maintaining operations in alternating renovation areas. The scope includes interior and exterior renovations; replacement or repair of finishes, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, lighting, wet-pipe fire suppression, fire alarm and mass-notification systems; hangar-door and egress-component repairs; roof replacement; new electrical, water, wastewater, fire-suppression, epoxy-floor, compressed-air, heating, and ventilation systems; and replacement of existing maintenance cranes and support railing. The anticipated performance period is 1,190 calendar days from contract award, including the base period and any exercised options. The eventual solicitation is expected to require technical, past-performance and experience, and price proposals, with award based on a tradeoff best-value process. This notice itself is not a solicitation and will not result in a contract award.
