Description
Blanche River Health is seeking a prime architect to provide complete architectural and multidisciplinary consulting services for a new approximately 47,000-square-foot, 64-bed, single-storey long-term care home. The scope includes planning, concept and detailed design, approvals and Ministry submissions, site and shared-services coordination, tendering, contractor prequalification and pre-construction services, construction administration, commissioning, occupancy support, warranty review, phasing, signage and wayfinding, and furniture and equipment planning. Furniture and equipment planning must be quoted separately as an optional service, while signage and wayfinding are included in the base scope. The project is contingent on Ministry approval and transfer of the existing nursing-home license. The consultant must assess broader campus solutions and potential shared services with the hospital, including food preparation, laundry, waste management, and related coordination, but hospital-side modifications are separate from this RFP. Geotechnical, survey, and environmental consultants will be procured directly by the hospital and coordinated by the prime architect. The addendum estimates construction at approximately $30.5 million based on 47,000 square feet at $650 per square foot, although the final budget and delivery model remain undetermined.
