Description
Berwyn North School District 98 is requesting proposals for a one-year managed fiber-optic Wide Area Network connecting four school sites and the district office to Lincoln Middle School as the headend. Each connection must support 10 Gbps, with a minimum 30 Gbps headend if cloud-based services are proposed. The district is also seeking renewed fiber internet service, with requested capacity ranging from 25 Gbps to 50 Gbps and a separate 5 Gbps-to-10 Gbps service request. Services must terminate at the schools' MDF/server rooms and include turnkey design, installation, construction, permits, managed Cisco routers or equivalent equipment, and ongoing maintenance and support. Proposals must include pricing, service-level commitments of at least 99.99% uptime, support and outage procedures, company information, relevant Illinois or Chicago-area references, a network design drawing, and typical managed-service and maintenance contracts. Vendors must provide their SPIN, comply with E-rate and USAC requirements, separately identify eligible and ineligible costs, and provide the lowest corresponding price. Installation is expected after July 1, 2027, subject to E-rate and Board of Education approval. Insurance certificates are required upon award, including at least $1,000,000 each for comprehensive liability and workers' compensation coverage; they are not required with the proposal.
