Description
Yosemite Community College District is soliciting a lump-sum general construction bid for improvements at the Modesto Junior College East Campus football field. The work includes replacement of the existing modular press box and bleachers; installation of a prefabricated elevator and elevator room; demolition; site improvements; work within the public right-of-way; new site utilities and connections; fire alarm work; and related construction. The project is a public works job subject to prevailing-wage requirements and California Department of Industrial Relations registration requirements for the contractor and subcontractors. Bids must be submitted electronically through the PlanetBids vendor portal using the District's bid forms. A California Class B contractor's license is required. The project has a 224-calendar-day duration, with onsite construction scheduled to begin November 16, 2026. The engineer's estimate is $4,800,000. A 10 percent bid bond and 100 percent payment and performance bonds are required; the successful contractor must also meet the stated insurance requirements.
