The Power Authority of New York (NYPA) is seeking qualifications for spot natural gas supply for its 500 MW power plant located in Astoria, Queens, New York. This is a continuous solicitation, accepting applications on an ongoing basis. The scope of the natural gas supply includes next-month, next-day, and intraday supplies delivered via existing gas pipelines. NYPA may opt for firm or fully interruptible supply on various schedules, including 5-day (Monday-Friday), 7-day (Sunday-Saturday), and Swing (upon demand for next-day and intraday supplies). Suppliers are required to execute NAESB (North American Energy Board) Contracts for Sale and Purchase of Natural Gas. All physical gas transactions must adhere to industry-standard NAESB Base Contract Terms and Conditions. Suppliers must also provide necessary information for gas transportation and indicate their agreement with the transporting pipeline. Delivery will be made to existing pipeline interconnections with the New York Facilities System. Suppliers must possess clean rights and title to sell the gas and demonstrate the financial capability to complete the transactions.
