Description
Philadelphia Gas Works is soliciting a contractor for a one-time project to modify the instrument-air systems at its Richmond Plant. The work includes demolition and removal of existing compressors, desiccant dryers, filters, piping, ductwork, conduit, and related equipment; installation of owner-furnished compressors, dryers, and a mist eliminator; and installation of contractor-furnished piping, ductwork, disconnects, ventilation equipment, louvers, and a roll-up door. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, project management, transportation, rigging, tools, equipment, materials, permits, testing, and commissioning support. The bid must include the required PGW forms, plan of work, pricing and labor-rate information, and evidence of current insurance coverage. Performance and labor-and-material payment bonds are each required at 100% of the awarded contract amount. The project is subject to Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements, and only vendors attending the mandatory site survey may submit a bid. Addendum No. 1 reschedules the mandatory site survey to October 27, 2026, questions to October 30, 2026, and the bid deadline to November 10, 2026.
