Description
J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College is soliciting sealed bids for a 3-axis milling machine meeting detailed performance and feature requirements. The machine must provide specified X-, Y-, and Z-axis travel, a 30-horsepower liquid-cooled spindle with a maximum speed of 8,100 rpm, a table meeting specified size and load requirements, specified motor thrust, and features including a 20-pocket carousel tool changer, through-spindle coolant, fourth-axis drive and wiring, wireless probing, chip auger, Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, remote monitoring, rigid tapping, high-speed machining, and a one-year extended warranty. The procurement also includes specified tooling such as a fixed-jaw vise, CT40 end mill holders, collet chucks, shell mill holders, collet sets, pull studs, and spanner wrenches. Required services include mill probe installation and calibration, freight to the college, and crane and rigging service. Bidders must use the provided bid forms, identify the make and model offered, and include delivery and all applicable packing, handling, shipping, and installation-related costs in their prices.
