The County of Riverside is soliciting prequalification packages from contractors interested in performing informal public projects. This prequalification is valid from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026. Approved contractors will be placed on lists that allow project managers to contact them directly for projects under $75,000 (with no competitive bidding required) or for exclusive small projects under $25,000 (which do not require DIR registration or project bonds). The prequalification process covers various trade classifications, including specialty contractors for structured cabling, security, and physical access systems. Applicants must meet specific experience, certification, and performance criteria, as detailed in the supplemental packets for these specialties. For structured cabling, requirements include certifications such as BICSI ITS Technician, BICSI ITS Installer 1, and BICSI RCDD. For security and physical access projects, certifications from Honeywell Pro-Watch, DMP, and Milestone are specified, along with Bureau of Security & Investigative Services (BSIS) certifications. Contractors must submit a comprehensive prequalification package that includes general information, safety records, insurance details, surety information (if applicable), a letter of good standing from a financial institution, an affidavit, and compliance records for prevailing wage and apprenticeship. Specific attachments, such as copies of licenses, DIR registrations, and certifications, are also required. The County reserves the right to verify all submitted information and to reject any or all submissions.
