Description
The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health is soliciting innovative research proposals for the UNifying Imaging with QUantum Entanglement program. Proposers must address both technical areas: development of physical systems for generating and measuring quantum-derived imaging contrast using entangled 511 keV photon pairs, positronium-sensitive interactions, and decoherence-aware imaging architectures; and development of quantum-aware artificial intelligence for reconstruction, multimodal data fusion, uncertainty quantification, and real-time interpretation of anatomical, functional, molecular, and quantum-derived information. The program is structured as an 18-month, two-phase effort, with continuation into the second phase determined by program progress. Expected work includes controlled phantom and benchtop demonstrations, quantum-derived contrast measurements, ghost-image reconstruction, multidimensional imaging outputs, and biological-state interpretation. Multiple Other Transaction Agreements are anticipated. Solution summaries and full proposals must follow the specified templates and formatting requirements, with full proposals comprising technical and management, cost, and administrative/policy volumes submitted through the designated online portal.
