The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) Commerce and Compliance Division is seeking to establish service agreements with training providers to deliver education training services for the Motor Carrier Education Program. This program covers four key subject areas: motor vehicle registration, weight-mile tax, size and weight regulations, and motor carrier safety. Training providers must meet specific requirements, including submitting a comprehensive training curriculum, outlining program goals, and demonstrating relevant experience. The training is an eight-hour course designed to provide motor carriers with essential information for compliance and safe operations in Oregon. Approved providers will be responsible for setting their own prices, scheduling, and marketing their courses, and must ensure training is offered at least monthly to meet statutory requirements. Training can be delivered in-person or as an interactive instructor-led webinar.
