Description
The U.S. Army is conducting market research to identify sources capable of manufacturing and delivering up to 29 Export Variant Second Generation Forward Looking Infrared thermal receiver units, Government Part Number 12991302-2, and repairing or refurbishing up to 100 Second Generation Forward Looking Infrared imager assemblies per year for three years, Government Part Number A3271798-1. New procurements must be delivered no later than 24 months after award. The manufactured units must be compatible with previously delivered Block 1 and Block 1R thermal receiver, component, and B-Kit systems and must meet the specified performance specifications and interface control documents. Respondents must describe their thermal-imaging and infrared experience, technical-data and manufacturing capabilities, production capacity, supply-chain and subcontracting approach, relevant projects from the past five years, security capabilities, teaming arrangements, and accounting-system status. Respondents must be able to properly store and work on SECRET information, and foreign participation is excluded. The response is a white paper limited to 15 pages, with specified formatting requirements; small-business questions 12 through 15 are additional requested information and are excluded from the stated page limitation. This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information notice and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to award a contract.
