Description
The City seeks an experienced contractor to provide winter weather response services on an as-needed basis for City-owned properties. Work includes gravelling and plowing parking lots, driveways, intersections, and sidewalks; clearing roadways and pedestrian pathways; and applying de-icing products. The contractor must maintain on-call crews, with response timing dependent on weather and site conditions, and may need to deploy before sunrise. Following an event, the contractor may also be asked to collect and dispose of response materials off-site. Services are authorized in writing for each event, and each service event must be agreed to in writing before work begins. Proposers must submit a qualifications narrative describing relevant experience, capabilities, resources, key staff, organizational framework, and available staffing, as well as three client references (excluding the City). Pricing for nine specified service and material categories must be entered in the procurement portal. A completed and signed Standard Proposal Form is also required. The resulting contract is expected to run for five years; insurance requirements apply to the selected contractor under the contract terms.
