The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Space and Missile Defense Technical Center (SMDTC) is seeking research proposals for science, technology, and test and evaluation expertise to support the joint warfighter. The SMDTC focuses on executing science and technology, research and development, and test and evaluation; managing and operating the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site; and conducting space operations and space domain awareness. The SMDTC is interested in research in tactical responsive space and high-altitude technologies, test and evaluation, strategic weapon technologies, and hypersonic defeat. White papers and full proposals are sought from institutions of higher education, nonprofit organizations, state and local governments, and for-profit organizations for scientific research that supports the SMDTC mission and research topics of interest. Specific topics include multiscale electromagnetic models, electronic warfare and RADAR algorithms, novel antenna concepts, RF component technologies, RF transmitter systems, solid state HPM sources, digital transformation for directed energy weapon systems, tactical microgrid standards for energy weapon systems, pulsed laser research for directed energy applications, and technologies for HPM and hypersonic systems and testing.
