Alberta Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to deliver a Short Course Training and Employment Centre under the Transition to Employment Services program. The provider will operate a catalogue of occupation-specific pathways and prepare unemployed and underemployed Albertans for employment through bundled certifications, tickets, and short-term training aligned with employer requirements and program funding limits. The service must also include participant assessment, job-search assistance, placement, and 90-day follow-up supports. Where appropriate, the provider may offer Paid Work Experience through a short-term, cost-recovery wage subsidy. The centre is expected to operate as a full TES service with optional PWE; it is not a full Workplace Training program and is not subject to Workplace Training's broader administrative requirements.
