Description
The U.S. Army is conducting market research for the manufacture and supply of unisex cadet bathrobes for the United States Military Academy. The requirement covers approximately 1,800 robes per year, with quantities varying by size, including X-Small through X-Large and potentially XX-Large sizes. The base year and four option years each require delivery by March 1 of the applicable year, with quantities subject to a stated tolerance and possible size adjustments based on stock usage. Bathrobes must conform exactly to the provided purchase description, including black, 100-percent-cotton French terry fabric; specified dimensions, construction, stitching, trim, pockets, belts, labels, and embroidered emblem placement; and applicable inspection, testing, colorfastness, dimensional-stability, toxicity, packaging, and workmanship requirements. Vendors must independently source the required fabric and components, although the Government may provide certain patterns, samples, labels, emblems, and braid materials as specified. Responses must describe manufacturing capability, material sourcing, lead time, relevant experience, commercial availability, pricing information, and proposed approaches for supporting small-business competition.
