Description
Chicago Public Schools is soliciting bids from contractors in its prequalified various-trades pool for MEP work at Taft High School. The project includes removal and replacement of existing sump pump, ejector pump, effluent pump, vacuum pump, and condensate station systems; furnishing and installing duplex pumps, motors, stainless-steel tanks, alternators, control panels, floats, alarms, valves, and related components; and reconnecting existing piping and electrical systems. The contractor must field-verify conditions, perform startup and operational testing, remove demolished materials and construction debris, secure the job site, coordinate work with authorized representatives, and comply with applicable Chicago Public Schools standards and mechanical, plumbing, and electrical requirements. A completed and signed bid cover sheet is required. For bids of $25,000 or more, a 5% bid bond is required; bids of $50,000 or more require pricing for payment and performance bonds, and bids of $75,000 or more require applicable MBE/WBE forms.
