Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Watervliet Arsenal (ACC-WVA) is issuing a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) to solicit innovative commercial products and services for the modernization of its Organic Industrial Base (OIB). This CSO, authorized by the National Defense Authorization Act, aims to acquire solutions that fulfill requirements, close capability gaps, or provide technological advancements. The solicitation is open until September 30, 2027, and will be used to competitively select proposals based on technical review and price reasonableness. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, test inspection equipment for gun tube and finished/rough machine component quality inspections, such as modified immersion UT systems, advanced micrometers, and other non-destructive testing equipment. Additionally, the CSO seeks advanced cannon technology, including environmentally friendly manufacturing methods for large caliber cannon production, additive manufacturing applications, process automation, and technologies to enhance manufacturing processes. Solutions will be treated as commercial items and contracts will be fixed-price. Interested parties are encouraged to submit solution briefs, which may lead to presentations/pitches and subsequently a request for a Commercial Solution Proposal (CSP). All selected companies will be required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov).
