Description
The Department of the Treasury is releasing a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for its RESTORE Act grant programs, specifically for eligible non-construction activities. This includes projects that may or may not have a non-federal cost-share for another federally funded project or program, as well as planning assistance for the required Multiyear Implementation Plan. Activities eligible for funding encompass restoration and protection of natural resources, ecosystems, fisheries, marine and wildlife habitats, and coastal wetlands; mitigation of damage to natural resources; implementation of marine or conservation management plans; workforce development and job creation; improvements to state parks; infrastructure projects benefiting the economy or ecological resources; coastal flood protection; promotion of tourism; promotion of Gulf Coast seafood consumption; and planning assistance. Eligible activities must be carried out in the Gulf Coast region. Construction and real property acquisition projects will be handled under a separate FOA.
