Description
The City seeks a vendor to provide fine art services, including matting, framing, purchasing frames and related materials, and installing or changing out artwork and artifacts. The work includes preservation-standard mounting, UV-blocking glass, and familiarity with the specified Takiya hanging system. Installation and framing must be performed on weekdays during the stated service hours, and artwork change-outs must be completed within 24 hours. The vendor must provide secure, environmentally controlled fine art storage of at least approximately 150 square feet, as well as non-environmental storage for frames and art supplies. Services also include packing, crating, rigging, moving, installation, display design, maintenance, cleaning, and condition reporting. The vendor must have at least four experienced art handlers on site; subcontracting is prohibited. The scope also includes creating, installing, and replacing interpretive cards and didactic panels, and occasional fine art printing. Bidders must provide proof of storage facilities and relevant experience and references. The ordering period is one year, and orders may not exceed $49,999.99.
