Description
The City of Columbus is seeking proposals for a Universal Term Contract to provide annual life safety system testing, inspection, and related services for City-owned buildings under the Facilities Management Division. The scope includes smoke and fire alarm testing and repair, sprinkler inspections, fire pump and fire suppression testing, backflow prevention services, kitchen hood and exhaust system services, and fire system monitoring. Annual inspection pricing must cover diagnostic work; repairs, replacements, and corrective work identified during inspections will be quoted separately and require approval before work begins. The contractor must acknowledge emergency communications within one hour and coordinate on-site response, support 24/7/365 monitoring, service current contract locations, and maintain any City-owned monitoring equipment. The City estimates approximately $250,000 in annual spending, may purchase up to twice the estimated quantity, and will use the contracted rates throughout the contract term. The contract is for four years through December 31, 2030, with one additional one-year extension option.
