Description
Correctional Service Canada requires a contractor to develop and deliver integrated, simulation-based training for frontline nurses in the Prairie Region. The work includes a two-day intensive course covering updated Nursing Clinical Protocols for Emergency Situations and Emergency Trauma Care requirements; development of interactive scenarios; preparation, simulation, debriefing, classroom support, and the necessary instructors for each session. Scenarios must address 17 specified emergency conditions, including cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis, trauma, stroke, sepsis, burns, shock, and respiratory emergencies. The contractor must provide all training equipment, mannequins, task trainers, airway and oxygen equipment, trauma supplies, personal protective equipment, patient-assessment equipment, intravenous-therapy training supplies, and other consumables required for realistic simulations. Successful participants must receive certificates of completion and Emergency Trauma Care certification. The procurement is divided into Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba streams; bidders may submit for one or more streams, and up to three contracts may be awarded. The initial term is two years, with two additional one-year option periods.
