Description
The University of Manitoba is establishing a pre-qualified source list for architectural, interior design, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, and landscape architecture consulting services. The source list will support campus projects including laboratories, classrooms, research spaces, offices, sporting facilities, building-envelope work, landscapes, roads, agricultural and animal-holding facilities, utilities, infrastructure, accessibility upgrades, and pre-design studies. Applicants may apply for minor projects under $1,000,000 in construction cost and major projects over $1,000,000; major-project qualification automatically includes minor-project qualification. The source list will be initially valid for three years, with up to two additional two-year extensions, for a maximum duration of seven years per service category. The application requires mandatory authorization and general-information materials, corporate-value responses addressing Indigenous engagement and sustainability, quality-assurance and quality-control practices, controllable and non-controllable risk-management responses, consultant experience, and the completed service-type and work-categories template. Applications are evaluated on a pass/fail basis for mandatory information and scored criteria for the remaining materials, with an 80% minimum threshold for evaluated information. Inclusion does not guarantee work; future projects will be competed among pre-qualified firms.
