Description
Carrier Sekani Family Services is seeking a prime consultant for the proposed approximately 6,905-square-foot Ts'il Kaz Koh Clan House, a mixed-use facility combining residential, communal, and administrative spaces to support care delivery in a home-like, healing-oriented environment. The program includes gathering, cultural, teaching, craft, education, office, kitchen, and residential areas, including two two-bedroom suites and two studio suites, with flexible lock-off connections between suites. The scope covers full prime consultant services from schematic design through design development, tender, construction and contract administration, and as-built documentation. The consultant must advance the community-developed concept while addressing cultural engagement, non-institutional interiors, indoor-outdoor relationships, site and servicing coordination, environmental and archaeological considerations, subdivision dependencies, and capital funding requirements. The recommended site is Site 3 within a planned residential subdivision on the northern lakefront portion of Burns Lake IR-18, with Site 2 as the alternative if the subdivision does not proceed.
