The U.S. Embassy in Jakarta is soliciting proposals for the "Escape the Hack" initiative, aimed at combating the growing threat of cyber scams in Indonesia. This program will feature a month-long immersive escape room experience in a high-traffic public location, with potential expansion to other cities, designed to educate Indonesian citizens aged 18-35 on recognizing and reporting scams. The initiative also includes a launch event with expert speakers, workshops, and panel discussions to train the public on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and law enforcement cooperation. The program seeks to increase public awareness, strengthen law enforcement's ability to recover funds, and promote U.S. strategic interests by building cyber resilience in Indonesia. The target audience includes young Indonesians, law enforcement professionals, and government officials. The project aims to train 3,000 direct participants, reach 10,000 walk-by traffic, and engage 250,000 through social media and 10 million through traditional media amplification. The initiative will be funded through a cooperative agreement with an estimated total program funding of $300,000, with awards ranging from $100,000 to $300,000.
