Description
The City of San Mateo is seeking sealed bids for new police patrol vehicles in three categories: midsize four-door all-wheel-drive sport utility vehicles, full-size four-door rear-wheel-drive sport utility vehicles, and full-size four-door all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive pickup trucks. Vehicles must be police-pursuit-rated and include specified features and equipment, which vary by category, such as police lighting solutions, police wire harnesses, auxiliary LED lights, keyed-alike locks, dark-tinted glass, programmed keys and key fobs, ballistic door panels for the midsize SUV, and towing equipment and spray-in bed liners for the pickup trucks. Bids must include vehicle specifications, standard and optional features with pricing, California emissions information, delivery or freight, exempt registration, and applicable fees and taxes. The City will evaluate bids based on dealer authorization, compliance with specifications, total cost, functionality, warranty, and delivery lead time. Bidders may submit offers for any or all vehicle categories and must provide bidder qualifications, relevant municipal or public-agency delivery experience, quality-control information, and two recent client references.
