Description
The General Services Administration is soliciting sealed bids for the purchase, onsite processing, and removal of approximately 100 tons of Government-owned DEMIL A mixed-metal scrap. Materials may include structural steel, marine-related components, machinery parts, stainless steel, aluminum, wire rope, and other ferrous and non-ferrous scrap. The work includes initial processing and cleanup, followed by recurring collection and removal; the contractor must maintain at least one roll-off container onsite after the initial cleanup is accepted. All material must be recycled for material recovery and may not be resold or reused as usable property. Bidders must submit a fixed price per pound, to no more than three decimal places. A site inspection is mandatory for bid responsiveness. The contract has a one-year base period and one Government option of up to 365 days. Only completed and signed Appendix A is due with the bid; Appendix B, a site-specific project execution plan, insurance documentation, capability certification, and a $10,000 performance guarantee are pre-award requirements for the apparent high bidder.
