Description
Philadelphia Gas Works seeks pricing for a one-time purchase of new plug and ball valves in specified sizes and configurations. Bidders must quote the approved manufacturers and comply with material specification DS30.9; substitutions are not accepted. Pricing and lead time must be entered for each line item, and bidders must be able to meet the required delivery date. The valves are to be shipped to the designated destinations according to size. The specification includes valve construction, pressure and fire-safety requirements, operating features, testing, and other technical details; some items require pre-approval by PGW Distribution. The sealed bid packet requires completed pricing and lead-time information, a signed checklist of document receipt, the Bidder’s Certification, a signed Certificate of Non-Indebtedness, and a completed Demographic Survey. A copy of current certification is requested from businesses claiming minority-, woman-, veteran-, or disabled-owned status. Responses are submitted electronically through the procurement portal. The packet also states that the successful bidder must provide performance and labor and material bonds and insurance before issuance of a purchase order; these are post-selection requirements, not bid-time submission items.
