Description
This Sources Sought notice requests information on the price and availability of U.S.- or foreign-flag general-cargo roll-on/roll-off or lift-on/lift-off vessels capable of transporting at least 40,000 square feet of rolling stock and general cargo. The vessel must be able to moor alongside piers and quay walls, conduct cargo operations using its organic equipment, accommodate a maximum laden draft of 6.0 meters, and operate between ports in the Western Pacific region. The anticipated charter period is approximately 27 days, with delivery and redelivery at Naha, Okinawa, Japan. The vessel owner would operate and maintain onboard equipment, coordinate loading and unloading with sponsor personnel, and accommodate at least two sponsor personnel, including hotel services in the daily charter rate. Respondents should provide vessel characteristics and documentation, cargo capacity, personnel berthing, daily charter rates and any delivery/redelivery bonus, availability, fuel consumption, company information, CAGE code, Unique Entity Identifier, and small-business status. Jones Act-capable vessels are also requested. This is market research only and is not a solicitation or offer request.
