Description
The City of Lexington is seeking a contractor to perform approximately 41 full-depth asphalt patches on multiple city streets. The work includes saw cutting or milling, excavation and disposal of existing materials, placement of base and asphalt in lifts, grading, compaction, tack coat, restoration, cleanup, and required utility adjustments. Patch depths will generally range from four to eight inches, with an estimated total quantity of 95 tons; payment will be based on actual authorized quantities and verified weight tickets. The contractor must provide traffic-control devices and signs, coordinate street and driveway closures, protect and coordinate around utilities, comply with applicable OSHA, North Carolina Department of Transportation, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and City standards, and restore disturbed property. Performance and payment bonds are not required. The successful bidder must provide specified commercial general liability, business automobile, and workers' compensation insurance and name the City as an additional insured where required.
