Description
The City of El Cajon is soliciting bids for restoration of a 450-foot earthen channel between the Ballantyne Street undercrossing and Hart Drive. The work includes reconstructing concrete channel walls with soldier piles, installing high-performance turf reinforcement mat and hydroseed erosion controls, constructing catch basins and 8-inch PVC storm drain pipes, performing excavation and utility relocations, and installing landscaping, irrigation, fencing, paving, curb and gutter, traffic control, and temporary creek diversion systems. The project has an estimated bid value of $5,200,000 and a duration of 160 working days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must be California-licensed and registered public works contractors. The bid requires electronic bid security and an original hardcopy bid security, with performance and labor-and-material bonds each required at 100% of the contract price if awarded. Required bid-time materials include the proposal forms, noncollusion declaration, bidder's bond, worker-classification designation, subcontractor designation, insurance statement, experience statement, CARB compliance certification or exemption statement, organizational information, and applicable addenda.
