Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is conducting market research for six replacement high-voltage power supplies supporting two electric dispersal barriers: four 1.5 MW units and two 350 kW units. The anticipated scope includes engineering and site verification, design submittals, fabrication, factory acceptance testing, operator and maintenance training, technical documentation, packaging, delivery and unloading, and warranty coverage. The equipment must integrate with existing pulse-generating units, capacitor banks, controls, electrical connections, and cooling systems. The notice describes anticipated electrical ratings, a 24-pulse rectifier configuration or equivalent, monitoring and protective controls, and operating conditions; it is not a complete fabrication specification. Respondents are asked to provide a tailored capability statement of no more than eight pages, addressing relevant projects and technical capability, feasibility and exceptions, factory testing and training, schedule and capacity, warranty, and other requested market feedback. This is a sources-sought notice for market research, not a solicitation or request for a binding price proposal. The anticipated performance period is one year for manufacture and delivery, with extended-warranty options to be defined in a future solicitation.
