The Rhode Island Department of Administration/Division of Purchases is soliciting proposals for Master Price Agreement (MPA) 419 to provide comprehensive services for security systems. This includes maintenance and repair of existing systems, as well as the addition, upgrade, and replacement of security system components across various state agencies. The agreement will cover a wide range of security technologies, including access control systems (ACS) with badging/credentialing and card readers, closed-circuit television (CCTV) and video surveillance systems, voice radio communications, cloud-based and virtual server options, wireless systems, face recognition, fingerprint access control, 24/7 monitoring for intrusion alarm systems, and other public safety and security systems as requested. Services are sought on an as-needed basis, with potential for statewide applicability to political subdivisions. Vendors will be selected based on their qualifications and the best value offered to the State. The initial term of the agreement is three years from the award date, with two optional one-year renewals. After the initial contract award, vendors may submit proposals for biannual review. It is anticipated that multiple vendors will be awarded contracts, and user agencies will typically obtain quotes from three MPA vendors for specific projects through a mini-bid process. Vendors are expected to provide discounts on parts and offer installation, service, and maintenance capabilities.
