Description
This Request for Information (RFI) seeks to identify potential sources capable of providing scheduled and non-scheduled dry ice deliveries to the U.S. NMRTC Sigonella Medical Treatment Facility in Sicily, Italy. The requirement is for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to support the U.S. NMRTC Sigonella Laboratory Department. Scheduled deliveries must be made within 48 hours of request, while emergency non-scheduled deliveries require a 7-hour turnaround with a minimum of 30 kgs. The contractor must have the capacity to produce at least 200 kgs per hour and be able to provide boxes of dry ice no larger than 15 kgs. In exceptional circumstances, the supplier must be able to provide up to 1200 kgs within 8 hours for emergencies. The dry ice is crucial for maintaining fresh frozen blood and blood products, as well as for mission support and Forward Resuscitative Surgical Systems (FRSS), which are unpredictable. The delivery period is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2031, with a base year and four option years. Deliveries are to U.S. NMRTC Sigonella-NAS, Strada Statale 192 KM 15, Catania-Enna, Sigonella, Sicily (Italy).
