Description
The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy requires removal and disposal of its existing Cummins 600 kW diesel generator and Onan OTPC 800-amp automatic transfer switch, followed by installation of a new 600 kW diesel standby generator and 800-amp automatic transfer switch. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, electrical, fuel, exhaust, grounding, and control connections. The scope also includes factory-authorized startup, integrated system testing, ATS functional testing, load-bank testing for at least four continuous hours at incremental loads up to 100 percent capacity, documentation of voltage, frequency, and engine-performance data, training, and submission of product data, shop drawings, startup and test reports, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and warranty documentation. Quotes require a technical approach, one qualifying prime-contractor past-performance example, a detailed price explanation, a completed two-tab pricing sheet, and a signed SF-1449. The award will be a firm-fixed-price, lowest-price technically acceptable contract, with work completed within 90 calendar days after notice to proceed.
