Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business contractor for Project 626-25-104, involving demolition and new construction at a medical center parking garage. The work includes general, civil, architectural, electrical, low-voltage, industrial hygiene, and related construction activities, including installation of a fall-deterrent system and lighting, with an alternate deducting lighting fixtures from the scope. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision; provide 10% lighting-fixture spares; comply with OSHA, VA, NFPA 101, and Joint Commission requirements; and use a certified firestop installer for penetrations. Work must be completed within 180 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed, including submittals, lead times, inspections, and closeout. The contractor must maintain an on-site superintendent and safety officer, submit daily safety and construction reports, coordinate shutdowns and off-hours work with the VA, and source project materials from the United States.
