Description
The School Board of Brevard County, Florida, is soliciting comprehensive investment advisory services. The successful advisor will manage separate investment portfolios in accordance with the District’s investment policy, applicable Florida statutes, and bond covenants; quote and place securities orders; coordinate settlements with District staff and the custodian; and provide guidance and training concerning fixed-income securities, investments, economic conditions, and treasury operations. Custodial and security safekeeping services are excluded. Required services include monthly, annual, and quarterly investment reports with mark-to-market valuations, transaction and earnings activity, portfolio diversification, policy compliance, market conditions, investment strategies, performance, and recommended strategy changes. Proposers must have at least three years of experience with large school districts or governmental agencies, be registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and provide references. The proposal must also address implementation and transition, reporting, audit controls, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, fees, and new service opportunities. The initial contract term is three years, with up to one optional two-year renewal period.
