Description
This Sources Sought notice is market research, not a request for proposal. The Naval Air Systems Command, PMA-265, is assessing potential suppliers for an anticipated life-of-type purchase of 950 Extreme Engineering Solutions re-balled Intel Xeon D-1559 processors (part number 41040282-LMC-7672-67). The processors are intended for use on the X-ES XPedite7672-67 3U VPX COTS card supporting the IRST Block II Processor Weapons Replacement Assembly. The processor IC is obsolete, prompting the life-of-type buy to mitigate production and sustainment risk. Interested businesses may submit a capability statement of no more than 10 pages, using 8.5-by-11-inch pages, at least 12-point font, and 1.5 spacing; bullet format is requested. Responses must identify the notice reference number and include company and point-of-contact information, business size and socioeconomic status, joint-venture eligibility, and potential subcontracting possibilities. Submissions must be marked with the specified CUI caption; classified materials must not be submitted. The Government anticipates soliciting Lockheed Martin for a contract modification, and is using this notice to assess market capability before determining its acquisition approach.
