Monterey Road Stuart, FL 34996 pur_div@martin.fl.us www.martin.fl.us The Board of County Commissioners, Martin County, Florida, will receive sealed bids for: PORT SALERNO / NEW MONROVIA VACUUM SEWER COLLECTION SYSTEM & NEIGHBORHOOD RESTORATION Martin County is seeking bids from licensed Contractors for the construction of a vacuum sanitary sewer system to provide centralized sewer service to approximately 960 single-family residential parcels and 10 apartment parcels within the Port Salerno-New Monrovia service area. The work also includes construction of a completely enclosed masonry building housing the vacuum/sewerage pumping assemblies, along with associated roadway, drainage, sidewalk, and lighting improvements. Sealed bids will be received by the Information Desk on the 1st Floor at the address above or via Euna OpenBids (DemandStar) until 2:30 PM local time, on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. The complete bid document may be downloaded from www.demandstar.com (online bidding site). Funds for this project are provided, in part, through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), including State grant funding and the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) Program. Description
Martin County is soliciting bids from licensed contractors for construction of a vacuum sanitary sewer system providing centralized sewer service to approximately 960 single-family residential parcels and 10 apartment parcels in the Port Salerno-New Monrovia service area. The work includes vacuum sewer mains, gravity laterals, valve pits, air terminals, a completely enclosed masonry vacuum pumping facility, vacuum station equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, a diesel generator, and associated testing and commissioning. Associated work includes force-main construction, roadway and drainage improvements, sidewalks, driveways, curbs, pavement, landscaping, irrigation, lighting, traffic maintenance, and restoration. The project is funded in part through Florida Department of Environmental Protection grants and the Clean Water State Revolving Fund. Contractors must comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including Davis-Bacon labor standards, American Iron and Steel, Build America, Buy America, and related flow-down provisions. Addendum #2 confirms that the base bid uses Airvac equipment, while approved alternate vacuum-system manufacturers may be proposed through the required pre-bid substitution process.
