Description
The City seeks a contractor to provide annual bridge construction and maintenance services at various locations. Work includes structural concrete, deck, pile, and substructure repairs; treatment or replacement of corroded reinforcing steel; seawall and bulkhead repairs; expansion-joint replacement and resealing; crack sealing, void filling, and slab jacking; cathodic protection, pile jacketing, and metallization; utility support, railing, and guardrail repairs or replacement; bridge painting; pavement restoration; and replacement of bridge signage and markers. The scope also includes installing vertical-clearance gauges in accordance with requirements established by a Florida-licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper. Bidders must hold a Florida Certified General Contractor License or another legally permissible license, certification, or registration, and submit a copy with the bid. Any subcontractors must be licensed and insured, and the prime contractor is responsible for ensuring their work complies with the solicitation. A bid security of 5% of the bid amount is required.
