Description
The Standards Council of Canada is soliciting proposals for new standards solutions that advance recommendations from the 2021 Canadian Data Governance Standardization Collaborative Roadmap. Eligible deliverables include Technical Specifications, Publicly Available Specifications, Workshop Agreements, and Community-Sourced Guidance addressing issues such as cybersecurity, privacy, data access, consent management, identity management, data sharing and integration, data quality, data transparency, data portability, and the data value chain. Applicants must demonstrate standards-development experience, provide two previously published standards solutions, identify a project team with relevant experience, submit resumes, develop a proposed outline, and provide detailed project, standards-landscape, work-plan, outreach, and financial information. Deliverables must comply with Canada's Official Languages Act and be available in English and French. Maximum project funding is CAD 150,000 for a Technical Specification, CAD 140,000 for a Publicly Available Specification, CAD 85,000 for a Workshop Agreement, or project-specific funding for Community-Sourced Guidance; eligible Official Languages Act costs may add up to CAD 20,000 where applicable. The project must begin within three months of contract signature, with maximum development timelines varying by deliverable type.
