Description
Lamar Public School District is soliciting bids for Category One and Category Two E-rate services and equipment. The scope includes leased dark fiber and lit fiber connectivity, self-provisioned network options, third-party network services, Category One network equipment, and Category One operations and maintenance. Network connections must support the district’s elementary, middle, and high schools, with bidders required to address all connections and identify installation charges. Category Two requirements include copper and fiber cabling, switches, transceivers, wireless access points and licensing, UPS/battery backups, and maintenance of switches and wireless access points. Equipment must be compatible with the district’s existing ExtremeCloud platform where specified, must not be refurbished, and must include required installation and configuration. Vendors must bid complete applicable projects rather than individual components, provide monthly or annual maintenance totals where applicable, participate in the E-rate program, and include the correct SPIN and all applicable fees, surcharges, and taxes. Contracts are contingent on E-rate funding and final board approval.
