Description
The Northeast Alabama Purchasing Association is soliciting sealed bids for automotive, heavy truck, and heavy equipment filters, including oil, air, fuel, transmission, fuel/water separator, and hydraulic filters. Bidders must furnish every listed filter or an approved equivalent, identify the manufacturer and corresponding part numbers, complete all pricing and quantity fields, include shipping in the bid price, and provide a delivery schedule. Approved manufacturers include Baldwin and Wix; equivalent brands may be proposed. The contract is for one year, with the option to extend for two additional one-year periods by mutual agreement. Estimated quantities are not guaranteed. If a replacement brand is proposed, the vendor must include the cost of removing existing stock, credit the buyer for removed filters at cost, and provide necessary parts books or software. Award will be made to the compliant vendor with the lowest grand total. A 5% bid bond or permitted substitute security is required when the total bid exceeds $10,000.
