Description
The State of Tennessee, Department of Commerce and Insurance, is soliciting contracts for building inspection services as a Deputy Inspector for one- and two-family homes. The selected contractor will perform inspections at various stages of construction, including footer, rough-in, and final inspections, in accordance with Tennessee state statutes and rules. The contractor must be a Tennessee Professional Corporation and must meet specific qualifications, including holding valid residential building, mechanical, and plumbing inspector certifications from the State Fire Marshal, and having at least four years of full-time building construction or inspection experience. The contractor will be compensated per inspection based on the permit fee schedule, with additional fees for mechanical/plumbing inspections and slab/superior wall inspections. The contract period is ongoing, with the response deadline set for June 30, 2027.
