Description
The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking a contractor to provide environmentally friendly rodent pest control and removal services for housing units at Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Services may include treatment for rodents, birds, bats, and stinging insects, as well as sealing entry points. The contract period of performance is from August 1, 2026, to November 30, 2026. Key tasks include an initial inspection to identify pests and entry points, developing and implementing a pest control treatment plan, and performing preventative maintenance. The contractor must also provide logs and service reports, and place signage warning of pesticide applications. All chemicals used must be approved by the NPS Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program. The contractor's personnel must be trained and licensed in pesticide application and animal trapping, with a minimum of three years of experience. Services are to be performed at housing units located at Locust Street and Leithgow Streets in Philadelphia, PA. Work is expected to occur between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, unless otherwise authorized.
