Description
The University of Wisconsin System Administration seeks bids for primary and optional secondary vendors to supply UW-Platteville with groceries, meat, poultry, seafood, cheese, frozen foods, beverages, and related products. The market-basket pricing attachment lists specified products and estimated usage. The scope also includes a vendor ordering and invoicing system, electronic integration with the campus food-service software, account representation, product and nutritional information, training, and delivery services. The primary vendor must provide and maintain hot- and cold-beverage dispensing equipment, including installation, maintenance, and staff training. The contract is nonexclusive, and the university may purchase some products elsewhere. The solicitation calls for a two-year initial term with four possible one-year renewals. Bids are evaluated primarily on market-basket pricing and vendor capability. The successful vendor must provide a $50,000 performance bond or an irrevocable letter of credit before contract award; insurance documentation is required after award and before contract issuance.
