Description
Lee County Board of Commissioners is soliciting competitive proposals from qualified design-build firms for a turnkey recreation event center and covered pickleball complex totaling approximately 52,164 square feet. The event center will be approximately 17,360 square feet and will house future Lee County Recreation Department offices. The open-air covered pickleball facility will be approximately 34,804 square feet with 12 courts. The project includes design, engineering, permitting, fabrication, delivery, erection, construction, and completion using pre-engineered metal building systems where appropriate. The scope includes civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, life-safety, ADA and energy-code compliance, site utilities, stormwater and erosion-control improvements, an entrance road, a 150-space parking lot, sidewalks, landscaping, irrigation, pickleball surfacing and equipment, fencing, lighting, HVAC, security alarms, camera systems, finishes, testing, commissioning, closeout documents, warranties, and assistance obtaining a certificate of occupancy. Proposals must include comparable construction experience, proposed-team qualifications, a project-specific design-build approach, the proposed PEMB system and materials, a preliminary schedule, and a completed bid form with cost breakdowns. Final construction plans are due within 120 calendar days after notice to proceed, and all work must be completed within 365 days after notice to proceed.
