Description
The City of Albany is soliciting sealed bids for comprehensive improvements at eight intersections. The work includes selective demolition; concrete sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and ADA-compliant ramps; directional boring and underground conduit; new regulatory, pedestrian, and illuminated street-name signage; thermoplastic pavement markings; and replacement traffic signal infrastructure, including steel strain poles, mast arms, Model 2070LX controllers, Model 332 cabinets, and vehicle-detection loop saw cuts. The contractor must also collect, process, and document vehicular, pedestrian, and truck traffic data at the eight project sites and four additional coordinated intersections along Jefferson Street, then develop and implement coordinated system-wide signal timing plans. The bid is unit-price based and must include all labor, materials, equipment, and related work. A 5% bid bond is required with the bid; the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds. The contract work must be completed within 540 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. A valid Georgia general contractor or utility contractor license is required, and the bid package includes multiple required forms, certifications, and acknowledgments.
