Description
NASA's Technology Transfer Program is offering a licensing opportunity for a novel one-piece, regeneratively-cooled thrust chamber assembly (TCA) for liquid rocket engines. This technology, developed under the Rapid Analysis and Manufacturing Propulsion Technology (RAMPT) project, utilizes 3D printing and large-scale additive manufacturing to create a seamless component, eliminating the failure points associated with traditional bolted or welded joints. The design also incorporates a composite overwrap, reducing overall weight by over 40% compared to conventional designs. NASA is seeking public-private partnerships to commercialize, manufacture, and market this technology. License rights may be issued on an exclusive or nonexclusive basis, potentially including specific fields of use. This initiative aims to accelerate the development of reliable spaceflight hardware and specialized large-scale additive manufacturing vendors for the U.S. supply chain.
